Buuuuuuutttt! Not by Nordstrum according to NBC News:
The link above from NBC News reports Ivanka was told a month ago about her poor sales and the future of her brand. Nordstrom is in the headlines but their explanation for discontinuing Ivanka’s line sounds reasonable. Nordstrom is a business and want their products to sell, so if you aren’t selling…..it’s bye bye lady :).
So who screwed Ivanka Trump?
It wasn’t Nordstrom. It wasn’t even the Donald, or should I say President Donald J. Trump, as is his title. It was a confluence of malcontent emotions, overzealous outrage and frustration. While Nordstrom hasn’t tried to punish Ivanka for being related to Donald, other retailers haven’t been so conscientious.
As reported by the NY Times:
Last week, T.J. Maxx and Marshalls stores sent a note to employees — a copy of which was obtained by The New York Times — telling them to throw away signs for Ivanka Trump products.
“Effective immediately, please remove all Ivanka Trump merchandise from features and mix into” the racks where most products hang, the note read. “All Ivanka Trump signs should be discarded.”
Well that’s what happened to Judge Gorsuch. I am not familiar with his record on the issues, this isn’t about Judge Gorsuch’s jurisprudence on social issues or other civil liberties. I’m don’t know about his views on corporate person hood(citizens united). My sympathy for the potential supreme court judge is for a less than altruistic purpose; I rant to tear down the veil of hypocrisy in this hypercritical world we live in. Don’t be a hypocrite Democrat Senate.
Elizabeth Warren got Screwed!
As Elizabeth wrote a letter from Coretta Scott King, the widow of Martin Luther King Jr., she was ordered to keep quiet during the rest of Jeff Sessions hearing by the senate majority leader Mitch Mcconnell. Elizabeth was screwed, because she was silenced abruptly for simply wanting to read the letter of a Civil Rights icon. Mitch Mcconnell cited a rule called rule 19. Rule 19 forbids insult on the senate floor An over broad rule which is unclear enough to be overused and applied injudiciously.
